This journal is targetting the area of self-experimentation, “N of One“ clinical trials and do it yourself science. Too long to read?We truly believe that a key to advancing science is an individualized approach to research and thoughtful self-experimentation.
Our aim is to democratize science by opening the door to well-reviewed and precise self-run research and providing tools and infrastructure so that everyone can access it.
To be more specific, we aim for:
Rigorous and Fair Research: articles must go through reviewing and editing. Ensuring that the work we publish meets the highest standards. Methodical and rigorous peer-reviewing must be at the core of our process, this is key to ensuring scientific rigor while getting help from the community. We also plan to provide our reviewers with best practices and ensure that the result is constructive feedback, delivered at a reasonable time.
Supporting content providers By giving them templates for running experiments. Funding of experiments and support of other types: scholarships for learning etc.
We aim to teach through organizing conferences, courses, and workshops in the different themes related to self-experimentation and individualized research.
The general aim of this review-based journal is to publish findings of unusual significance in any area of self-experimental research, with themes including but not limited to: performance enhancement, mental health, behavioral modification, and bioengineering.
